Family: How we care for our children and seniors says a lot about our priorities as a community. It is important to care for those that do not have the resources, access, or ability to advocate for themselves. Our children are our future and deserve quality education, out-of-school-time activities, and safe environments to learn and grow. We are standing on the shoulders of our seniors and they deserve access to quality healthcare, food, housing, and social supports. I believe we are defined by how we care for others.
Healthcare: I believe that affordable, quality healthcare is a necessity for all Americans. Too many people are living one emergency away from fiscal instability, and no one should ever have to choose between paying for their life-saving medical procedure or prescriptions and other necessities like housing or food. I am committed to fighting for policies that increase access to healthcare and reduce healthcare costs to families.
